Our Juniors

2016 saw Bobcats establish a junior program for the first time. Our Hookin2Hockey program brought 25 first-time players into the club during Term 1.

We kept this momentum going through the winter season, when we entered teams in the under 11s friendly competition on Friday nights and the under 14 mixed competition on Saturday mornings.

In 2017, we are also looking to enter an under 16 mixed team as well to make sure our junior members have the best possible opportunities to participate, learn the game and have fun.

We have a dedicated team of volunteers working to make our junior program a success. We would like to thank the parents of all of our juniors for their support in 2016. Special thanks go to Nigel Drury, Dani Wilde, Lockie Waddell, Ben Toogood, Tim O'Sullivan, Thane Bourne and our Hookin2Hockey coaches for making everything happen!

Hookin2Hockey

2017 Hookin2Hockey starts on February 23 (Thursday) at the Ballarat Hockey Centre. Sessions run for six weeks from 6-7pm. Cost for the program is $85, which includes program registration and an equipment pack. The pack contains an individually-sized stick, shinguards, training singlet, mouthguard, ball and stickbag.

Under 14s/16s

Preseason training for the under 14s and 16s will also begin on February 23, 2017 from 6-7pm. Boys and girls of all skill levels are welcome - our aim as a club is to involve every player, develop every player and help everyone to enjoy hockey.
